The filing describes a computer-based program that would, essentially, analyze a primary device’s installed applications, cross-reference it with a different device and then either migrate that software batch or suggest similar apps to download on a secondary unit. Sounds a lot like a potential Windows Phone Marketplace recommendation / app transfer engine to us, but what exactly Redmond intends to use this pending patent for is anyone’s guess. During the first two games of this series, Ramon Sessions scored four total points on 2-of-10 shooting. He already has 12 points in Game 3, making 5-of-8 shots.

Sessions also has four assists in Game 3 after having three combined assists in Game 1 and Game 2. He has attacked the paint more in Game 3 than he did earlier in the series. He is currently the second leading scorer for the Lakers, trailing Kobe Bryant’s 13 points.

So here’s your quick background: World No. 1 Victoria Azarenka withdrew from Rome with a right shoulder injury. The injury was “a surprise” to everyone at the tournament, per an article from Retures. Maria Sharapova was asked about Azarenka’s injury on Friday. She didn’t seem to think it was such a surprise.

SHARAPOVA:

“She is probably injured more than any other player and to be number one in the world and be able to play a full schedule,” said Sharapova. “I think last year she had more retirements that anyone but played a full schedule and after two days retirement you would see her practicing and so it’s tough to know what her state is and what she is feeling.

This is painful to watch. But her will pulled her through the line at the end.

“Personally, if I am injured however big or small the fine is, the body is no support for me and if this is the tournament where you have to participate or get zero points. For me the health is the most important thing, if I am healthy then I can go on court and beat someone and not go and save whatever money and I pay the fine.

“We have a new system of new rules and mandatory tournaments and its very successful because all the top players attend. Sometimes all the top players are not there because some players get injured but sometimes you have to pay a little out of your pocket and not play.”

Serena Williams was also asked about Azarenka. She had a bit shorter response.

TOPEKA, Kan. — Cruz Pedregon topped Funny Car qualifying with a track-record performance Friday in the NHRA Summernationals at Heartland Park Topeka.

Pedregon had a 4.046-second run at 315.56 mph in his Toyota Camry to better both ends of the Funny Car track record. Bob Tasca III was second at 4.062 and 315.56 in a Shelby Ford Mustang.

“We definitely have one of the quicker cars out there,” said Pedregon, a four-time winner at the track. “So, we just have to continue to do our job and not beat ourselves on Sunday.”

NASCAR is the first organization to team with Twitter to create an enhanced live event experience on the Twitter platform. 

“Twitter has been an important piece of our effort the last several years to further engage our fan base and help grow the sport,” said Steve Phelps, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of NASCAR. “This new, complementary live race experience product is an evolution of that relationship with Twitter, and we’re excited about continuing to provide our millions of fans with greater access to our athletes and further engagement with our drivers, teams, tracks and executives.”

Kyle Busch, the last car to qualify, saw the mistakes being made and avoided them all. The No. 18 pit crew was flawless in their stop and Busch was able to knock provisional pole sitter Ryan Newman off of the pole.

Two drivers will start at the rear of the field: Kasey Kahne who had a hard hit during qualifying and will require a backup car and Regan Smith who had an engine change.
